Most Chicago properties eventually need work at grade and above it. We handle both, which means one contract, one crew and one point of accountability.
Here is what we handle, and what it actually involves:
Planting design, hardscape and paver patios, grading and drainage, irrigation, lighting and seasonal maintenance for city yards, gardens and courtyards.
Rooftop decks, garage-top decks, condo terraces and green roofs — structural assessment, stamped drawings, permit filing and construction, all in house.
We are a full-service landscaping company, which means one contract covers the drawing, the digging and the planting.
An hour on site. We walk the property, talk through how you want to use it, and flag anything structural or drainage-related early.
Concept layout, then planting plans and 3D renderings so you see the finished space before anything is ordered.
Real material samples and a line-item budget. Nothing gets ordered until you approve it.
Our own crews install it, and we can stay on for seasonal maintenance if you want us to.

Botanical Concepts is family-owned and based on West Dickens Avenue in Lincoln Park. Denise and Bianca have spent more than twenty-five years designing outdoor space in this city — which means knowing how Chicago clay drains, what survives on an exposed sixth-floor terrace, and which projects need a permit before anyone picks a paver.
It is a deliberately small, boutique practice. The designer you meet at the consultation is the designer who sees your project through.

Alongside design–build work we produce scaled, permit-ready landscape plans and coordinate with the City of Chicago, working with licensed landscape architects and engineers where a project requires stamped drawings. That covers parkway trees, public-way permits, and structural sign-off on rooftop work.
